What's going on in our nation? Why are we even trying to keep guns legal. In my opinion, nothing good comes from them. Guns kill..period. Oh, for protection? really? where the heck do you live that you need a gun to walk around? Move! Live elsewhere! Look, by the time you know you have been attacked it's too late to go find your Boom Boom. By the time you sense fear..it's too late. If you pull a gun out, it will only make the perpetrator move faster and attack sooner. America has gone down in a way that is irreversible. Fear is ruling our nation..and this is not because of Obama. It is because of money and conservatives that believe that this Bil of Rights that was written when Indians ran around and yeah...people were shooting each..well this is when the Bill was written. In a time of fear and doubt and much hate from whites to anyone else that was not. The Bill of Rights needs to be rewritten. Times have dramatically changed and most of these things are extinct..How about Adultery..is that still against the law?

2013.
Happy New Year to everyone. It seems as tho time is moving quicker than ever. What happened this last year? It all seemed like one big political campaign that went on and on. Sometimes, lately, I feel like it is still going on. The arguing and the going to get nowhere Congress that keeps us in waiting. Don't get me wrong, I love Obama and am good with the direction we are going in now and really he has not much control over Congress. I always felt bad for him as  he was left with the worst economy our nation has seen in decades. As long as it all keeps going in a positive direction we will always be o.k. We are the United States of America and I do believe we will always move forward.
Sade! Wow! What a concert this last year! Amazing world tour. The visuals, the sound. Amazing. The talent was truly out of this world. From the dramatic opening to the final goodbye as she exited the stay the way she entered the stage. If you can, get yourself the Blue Ray DVD of the concert. It is called "Bring Me Home' Live 2011. I saw it at the Honda Center in Anaheim 2012. A great DVD, especially if you own a good sound system for viewing. The tour was one of the top grossing tours of 2011-2012.
Movies. "Lincoln" was a wow as well. A slower, intelligent film based around a huge change in our United States. Amazing performances. I was riveted and moved. each actor was a 10. Daniel Day Lewis,Sally Field,Tommy Lee Jones etc..James Spader, the list goes on. In my opinion this is the Movie of the Year. Also, Lewis is best actor. If he wins..he will have won 3 Oscars.
I saw "Argo, Les Miserables, and Silver Lining Playbook" All of them excellent but only one has kept me in thought.."Lincoln."
I hope the year brings health and happiness to all. May all your dreams come true.

Are we Moving too Fast?

Are we? I think we are.
Every turn we make, every move we make, well it's all about faster. Faster fast food. Faster cell phone services. Faster home delivery. Cox Communications has faster internet for extra cash a month but i am already paying for a faster service that is not the regular service that I guess is slower.
I don't know. I do know I am more stressed out internally but am in Denial of it. I get mixed up. I lose focus or forget quickly. I am moving with out thinking as thought in a hypnotic state.
I'll read a book and then have very little to repeat about it. just Good or Bad.
When i am at work, for some reason i feel as tho i am running later or i am just relaxing into it. Don't want to feel rushed...enjoy the moment I am in at the time.
Any thoughts?
i wonder if anyone actually reads this. ;)

my unprofessional political voice

I frankly do not understand all the ins and outs of the Congress and all the blabbering they do. I think many Americans do not either. We base out opinions on other's opinions. We watch very unbiased channels such as the ultra conservative, demeaning,Republican Fox News. So unreal and old in their thinking. Msnbc somewhat middle but more liberal Democrats in theor presentation and views. Actually much more realistic than Fox. Cnn, I feel is,for the most part much more middle. they do present both sides, both arguments, which i feel is my preference. i do like to hear both sides of an argument and then try to make sense of it myself..which never really works.
I do feel that many of the men and women in Congress should be placed under review..by a review board. Many of them should be placed on a probation. Some should be fired. The manner in which our country has dealt with the economic crisis is an outrage. The Republicans want the White House back so much they would and did put our nation in the position it is now. We are in a crisis. What they passed is not going to work and we will have to return to this soap opera again. Obama has been weakend and has had to give in to their demands. Most of which he did give. This is a mistake, huge mistake.
Americans bought in to Bushes and Cheney's lies and wasteful spending. Yes Obama increased the deficit but he did not begin it and it is not so easy, given the state of things to just stop.
What, immediately stop the wars? Oh the war that was a lie started by Bush and his Republican mates?
Oh, not bailing out banks and totally destroy what we had? No stimulus money..well it was not enough money alright but all he could get. Which makes it better than not doing it at all. There are no answers. This was something that should have been dealt with when Bush was in office and stopped then. Now what? there is no answer and we are all going to pay dearly for electing George Bush once and then a second term. Wow, just keep doing it and pass the blame.

Kenneth Brown Salons. A dream we can all share.

Kenneth Brown Salons.
I am one fortunate man. For so long I had felt out of place in Orange County, Calif. My years as a hairdresser began in Beverly Hills. This was something I felt very proud of. As a result of misjudgement, I left Los Angeles area for a relationship that was doomed to end quickly. I slowly worked less and less in Beverly Hills and began to work in South Orange County.
Do not misunderstand that South O.C is beautiful and I have met wonderful people, but it does not have what a city has. This is the suburbs. This is a mainly conservative,Republican,Christian area. Tho they truly believe that they are not conservative,it is thru blinded vision that they do not see that they are in many ways.
For many years I had wanted to return to L.A. I was drowning here in the O.C. Gay life, non existing anymore and my career was headed for disaster. I was bored, uninspired ,and getting older. I was hunting, looking, wanting to elevate my mind,my spirits,my talents and of course my love life...therefore we are speaking of my entire life. Just as I was accepting that this was what I had created and I had to accept it,own it and do the best with it...a new salon opens up.
My old friend Jeff Brown and his wife Debbie Brown have opened up a beautiful salon in south O.C. It has more of a city vibe, city attitude and a city talent. I was fortunate to have been hired and become part of a team here.
I feel saved in a way. The light bulb has been switched on. Desires to grow have reignited. The future looks better and thoughts of growth have emerged.
There is hope and I believe that my desires and wishes will come true. I wish the Brown's ultimate success, health and business growth. As I wish this for them from my heart,I know that I too will reap the benefits of supporting wholeheartedly the aspirations that Jeff Brown has put out there. His dreams and wishes are being supported by a beautiful staff he has put together. I include myself in this without ego but with a sense of joy. For his dreams have lit a fire within my own self.
So with this I congratulate them and myself. I thank God for guidance and support. I am entering the latter half of my life. A life that was somewhat irresponsible,a life that was lead thru my heart and my bad choices, but they were my choices in the end. I hope I can begin to make up for lost time and re thread something s and move to become ..perhaps, my own dream.

America...currently

So I was watching Piers Morgan tonite. Truly have been enjoying the show. I am enjoying it more than Larry King, especially the last year.
The interview with HRH Prince Awaleed from Saudi Arabia. Interesting man. Smart, simple and very powerful. His take on Where America is now and where it should be standing. He spoke of the longer emerging markets. Brazil,Korea, china etc..they are no longer behind us as world innovators. America needs innovators and remove all business policies that have not worked since 2007. Begin to lace themselves alongside these countries and work together or get with the program as the times are changing. America needs to evolve with the changing world climates. His vision for Saudi Arabia is growing, changing, evolving and he is a man of the modern world. He is taking a stand against the King in regard to furthering women's rights. He is at this point, for the most pat,a man alone but it is happening and it will change the middle east as it develops..new western ideas.
