What's going on in our nation? Why are we even trying to keep guns legal. In my opinion, nothing good comes from them. Guns kill..period. Oh, for protection? really? where the heck do you live that you need a gun to walk around? Move! Live elsewhere! Look, by the time you know you have been attacked it's too late to go find your Boom Boom. By the time you sense fear..it's too late. If you pull a gun out, it will only make the perpetrator move faster and attack sooner. America has gone down in a way that is irreversible. Fear is ruling our nation..and this is not because of Obama. It is because of money and conservatives that believe that this Bil of Rights that was written when Indians ran around and yeah...people were shooting each..well this is when the Bill was written. In a time of fear and doubt and much hate from whites to anyone else that was not. The Bill of Rights needs to be rewritten. Times have dramatically changed and most of these things are extinct..How about Adultery..is that still against the law?

2013.
Happy New Year to everyone. It seems as tho time is moving quicker than ever. What happened this last year? It all seemed like one big political campaign that went on and on. Sometimes, lately, I feel like it is still going on. The arguing and the going to get nowhere Congress that keeps us in waiting. Don't get me wrong, I love Obama and am good with the direction we are going in now and really he has not much control over Congress. I always felt bad for him as  he was left with the worst economy our nation has seen in decades. As long as it all keeps going in a positive direction we will always be o.k. We are the United States of America and I do believe we will always move forward.
Sade! Wow! What a concert this last year! Amazing world tour. The visuals, the sound. Amazing. The talent was truly out of this world. From the dramatic opening to the final goodbye as she exited the stay the way she entered the stage. If you can, get yourself the Blue Ray DVD of the concert. It is called "Bring Me Home' Live 2011. I saw it at the Honda Center in Anaheim 2012. A great DVD, especially if you own a good sound system for viewing. The tour was one of the top grossing tours of 2011-2012.
Movies. "Lincoln" was a wow as well. A slower, intelligent film based around a huge change in our United States. Amazing performances. I was riveted and moved. each actor was a 10. Daniel Day Lewis,Sally Field,Tommy Lee Jones etc..James Spader, the list goes on. In my opinion this is the Movie of the Year. Also, Lewis is best actor. If he wins..he will have won 3 Oscars.
I saw "Argo, Les Miserables, and Silver Lining Playbook" All of them excellent but only one has kept me in thought.."Lincoln."
I hope the year brings health and happiness to all. May all your dreams come true.

Are we Moving too Fast?

Are we? I think we are.
Every turn we make, every move we make, well it's all about faster. Faster fast food. Faster cell phone services. Faster home delivery. Cox Communications has faster internet for extra cash a month but i am already paying for a faster service that is not the regular service that I guess is slower.
I don't know. I do know I am more stressed out internally but am in Denial of it. I get mixed up. I lose focus or forget quickly. I am moving with out thinking as thought in a hypnotic state.
I'll read a book and then have very little to repeat about it. just Good or Bad.
When i am at work, for some reason i feel as tho i am running later or i am just relaxing into it. Don't want to feel rushed...enjoy the moment I am in at the time.
Any thoughts?
i wonder if anyone actually reads this. ;)

my unprofessional political voice

I frankly do not understand all the ins and outs of the Congress and all the blabbering they do. I think many Americans do not either. We base out opinions on other's opinions. We watch very unbiased channels such as the ultra conservative, demeaning,Republican Fox News. So unreal and old in their thinking. Msnbc somewhat middle but more liberal Democrats in theor presentation and views. Actually much more realistic than Fox. Cnn, I feel is,for the most part much more middle. they do present both sides, both arguments, which i feel is my preference. i do like to hear both sides of an argument and then try to make sense of it myself..which never really works.
I do feel that many of the men and women in Congress should be placed under review..by a review board. Many of them should be placed on a probation. Some should be fired. The manner in which our country has dealt with the economic crisis is an outrage. The Republicans want the White House back so much they would and did put our nation in the position it is now. We are in a crisis. What they passed is not going to work and we will have to return to this soap opera again. Obama has been weakend and has had to give in to their demands. Most of which he did give. This is a mistake, huge mistake.
Americans bought in to Bushes and Cheney's lies and wasteful spending. Yes Obama increased the deficit but he did not begin it and it is not so easy, given the state of things to just stop.
What, immediately stop the wars? Oh the war that was a lie started by Bush and his Republican mates?
Oh, not bailing out banks and totally destroy what we had? No stimulus money..well it was not enough money alright but all he could get. Which makes it better than not doing it at all. There are no answers. This was something that should have been dealt with when Bush was in office and stopped then. Now what? there is no answer and we are all going to pay dearly for electing George Bush once and then a second term. Wow, just keep doing it and pass the blame.

Kenneth Brown Salons. A dream we can all share.

Kenneth Brown Salons.
I am one fortunate man. For so long I had felt out of place in Orange County, Calif. My years as a hairdresser began in Beverly Hills. This was something I felt very proud of. As a result of misjudgement, I left Los Angeles area for a relationship that was doomed to end quickly. I slowly worked less and less in Beverly Hills and began to work in South Orange County.
Do not misunderstand that South O.C is beautiful and I have met wonderful people, but it does not have what a city has. This is the suburbs. This is a mainly conservative,Republican,Christian area. Tho they truly believe that they are not conservative,it is thru blinded vision that they do not see that they are in many ways.
For many years I had wanted to return to L.A. I was drowning here in the O.C. Gay life, non existing anymore and my career was headed for disaster. I was bored, uninspired ,and getting older. I was hunting, looking, wanting to elevate my mind,my spirits,my talents and of course my love life...therefore we are speaking of my entire life. Just as I was accepting that this was what I had created and I had to accept it,own it and do the best with it...a new salon opens up.
My old friend Jeff Brown and his wife Debbie Brown have opened up a beautiful salon in south O.C. It has more of a city vibe, city attitude and a city talent. I was fortunate to have been hired and become part of a team here.
I feel saved in a way. The light bulb has been switched on. Desires to grow have reignited. The future looks better and thoughts of growth have emerged.
There is hope and I believe that my desires and wishes will come true. I wish the Brown's ultimate success, health and business growth. As I wish this for them from my heart,I know that I too will reap the benefits of supporting wholeheartedly the aspirations that Jeff Brown has put out there. His dreams and wishes are being supported by a beautiful staff he has put together. I include myself in this without ego but with a sense of joy. For his dreams have lit a fire within my own self.
So with this I congratulate them and myself. I thank God for guidance and support. I am entering the latter half of my life. A life that was somewhat irresponsible,a life that was lead thru my heart and my bad choices, but they were my choices in the end. I hope I can begin to make up for lost time and re thread something s and move to become ..perhaps, my own dream.

America...currently

So I was watching Piers Morgan tonite. Truly have been enjoying the show. I am enjoying it more than Larry King, especially the last year.
The interview with HRH Prince Awaleed from Saudi Arabia. Interesting man. Smart, simple and very powerful. His take on Where America is now and where it should be standing. He spoke of the longer emerging markets. Brazil,Korea, china etc..they are no longer behind us as world innovators. America needs innovators and remove all business policies that have not worked since 2007. Begin to lace themselves alongside these countries and work together or get with the program as the times are changing. America needs to evolve with the changing world climates. His vision for Saudi Arabia is growing, changing, evolving and he is a man of the modern world. He is taking a stand against the King in regard to furthering women's rights. He is at this point, for the most pat,a man alone but it is happening and it will change the middle east as it develops..new western ideas.

Carrie Prejean gets it where it hurts $$$ Thankfully

CARRIE PREJEAN SEX TAPE brings a halt to her LAWSUIT ! GOTTA LOVE THE LORD!

Don't ya just love Family Values?? huh? why is that these Right wings hypocrites day after day get away with their bible thumping goodie goodie two shoes attitude?...SO-with a Dildo in one hand and and two fake titties...and a ahem... Sex Video in her future they still scream QUEERS ARE DEVIANTS and not fit for Marriage and equal rights...

Yeap...Crazy Hypocrite has a Sex video too... PRAISE JESUS for a miracle!!

SO ......FROM TMZ.COM

Carrie_Prejean_costume_fin2 Carrie Prejean demanded more than a million dollars during her settlement negotiations with Miss California USA Pageant officials -- that is, until the lawyer for the Pageant showed Carrie an XXX home video of her handiwork.

The video the lawyer showed Carrie is extremely graphic and has never been released publicly. We know that, because TMZ obtained the video months ago but decided not to post it because it was so racy. Let's just say, Carrie has a promising solo career
.
We're told it took about 15 seconds for Carrie to jettison her demand and essentially walk away with nothing. As we first reported, the Pageant is paying around $100,000 to her lawyers and publicist -- a fraction of her bills. She pockets nothing in the settlement.

Sarah Palin- I do not wish her well..like many others

THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR or The Sarah Palin book tour to start Nov. 18

AMERICAS FAME WHORE..to the right wing Politicians- rednecks- and the brain challenged..is coming to your city!!! Grab a pie and welcome her...SPLATTT!

Sarah-palin-statue-of-liberty-hunting-trophy-alaska-moose NEW YORK (AP) - Oprah Winfrey is only the beginning for Sarah Palin's book tour.

Starting Nov. 18, the day after Palin's book "Going Rogue" is released and two days after she is interviewed by Winfrey, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate will make appearances around the country, from Grand Rapids, Mich., to Dallas to Rochester, N.Y.

HarperCollins spokeswoman Tina Andreadis said Wednesday that the tour will run through at least Dec. 6.

Ashlee Simpson's diva behavior got her booted from the CW hit 'Melrose Place'

This TALENTLESS Waste of DNA...has never been on my top list. When the lip syncing bimbo shamelessly slithered off the stage during her infamous fake performance on SNL..i said..enough!!

from Fox News blog:

Ashlee Simpson's diva behavior got her booted from the CW hit 'Melrose Place', a source close to one cast member tells Fox411.

Ashlee-simpson-live "Ashlee was kicked off 'Melrose Place' because she was a total diva on set, late all the time, and deeply disliked by fellow cast members," the insider spills. "It created a lot of discord among the cast."

Another big problem, says the snitch?

"She could barely act."

(If you saw her episodes, you know this to be true.)

But not being able to act and being a diva hardly set Simpson apart from many of the venerable primetime soap's stars, both current and past. The insider tells Fox411 it was the producer's need to bring in one of those past stars that also hastened Simpson's swan song.

The source says producers desperately wanted Heather Locklear to reprise her role, but couldn't afford her salary demands without cutting someone.

"They basically trimmed the fat and made it possible for Heather to join the show," says the snitch. "Heather is a much bigger name than Ashlee."

Plus the source gave one more piece of casting scoop. "Melrose" legend Jack Wagner is reprising his role, too!

Renee Fleming Recital in L.A December 12th

I am attending the December 12th 2009 recital of Renee Fleming. Above all her voice and beauty take my breath away and I am a gay man. Only one opera star has ever moved me like this and that voice belongs to Mirella Freni. She and she alone allowed me to fall in love with opera..especially Italian and French.
Renee Fleming has taken me to yet another level of appreciation. I have seen her in opera and film and now it will be her recital at Dorothy Chandler.
Her Thais is beyond gorgeous and her Bel Canto CD is ever playing in my home.
I WANT TO MEET HER!!!
I want most of all to be ably to meet Ms. Fleming face to face. Just for a few minutes to greet and express appreciation and get her personal autograph.
Does anyone know of anyone or any way to help make this happen for me?? I will be there in the orchestra in December. I am not a sicko stalker. I am a good, responsible professional that would love to be in her presence.. PLEASE HELP!!!
Renee are you reading this??

Hair Stylist in Laguna Niguel reports Rihanna on Chris Brown Attack: Not the First Time

Despite the gruesome allegations against him, Chris Brown may have gotten lucky because the charge he was booked on is somewhat weak, police sources say.

But the R&B singer is still in deep $h!t if a new report is to believed - one in which Rihanna says this is not the first time Brown has attacked her.

Sources say that the Los Angeles County District Attorney kicked the case back to the police for further investigation because evidence that Chris Brown was making felony criminal threats against Rihanna is kind of thin.

Those sources are quick to say he will, however, almost certainly be charged with felony domestic battery, a lesser offense but still very serious, considering the horrific injuries he allegedly inflicted upon his girlfriend.

Happy Rihanna and Chris Brown Photo

Here's how it went down, according to the police report:

After Chris Brown received a text message from a woman, who police have not identified to the media, who wrote about getting together with him, an argument erupted (initially, Rihanna would not tell cops what started the argument).

Rihanna did, however, tell them that during the argument, he started hitting her.

According to police, she ordered him to drive her home and "faked a call" to someone, saying things like, "He's dropping me off. Make sure the cops are there."

Rihanna told cops that the bogus call enraged Chris Brown.

He said something to the effect of "You are really fu**ed up now. I'm going to kill you." This statement is the basis of the criminal threats charge.

At that point, according to the police report, Chris Brown allegedly began a violent attack with his fists. At some during this, Rihanna took the keys out of the ignition of Brown's rented Lamborghini and threw them outside, further angering him.

And there's this: Rihanna told cops this was not the first time Brown hit her. She referred to it as an ongoing and escalating abusive relationship.

We're told the criminal threats charge is based on that one statement Brown allegedly made. A law enforcement source told celeb news site TMZ, "It's kinda weak, and the D.A. is not going to prosecute a high profile case like this unless it's solid."

That's why it was kicked back for further investigation.

Given the brutal nature of the assault, which the pictures clearly show - there contusions on her face, swollen eyes, cut lip, bloody nose, bite marks on fingers and arm - a felony domestic battery charge is virtually a done deal.

That, however, is a less serious offense than making criminal threats.

Also, a reported picture of Rihanna with a black eye following the assault going around the Internet is a fake. Here's the phony next to the real photo from an unspecified date and location that this photoshop artist went to town on:

Another cute short bob haircuts 2009
Short bob hair cuts are easy to maintain and wash. Split ends and direct sunlight can cause bad hair days though this is rarely possible in a short bob hair cut. If the hair is naturally curly then one can go for long spiral curls that overlap the crown hair.

Short bob and fringe
Short bob and fringe

Ellen Barkin has updated her short bob and has looked great in it at red carpet events world wide. She looks hot and stylish in this short bob with a swept fringe. A fringe can add a different look to most bob hairstyles and this one is no exception. The fringe really adds a touch to this hairstyle and adds to facial framing by softening other areas.

WAS I RAPED ???

Dear Alice,

In the beginning, I told my boyfriend that I don't want to have sex outside of marriage and he accepted that.

But then, about a week ago, I made a very big mistake and allowed him to take my clothes off completely and enter my vagina slightly. I know it was wrong and the following day I told him that I didn't feel right about it and I didn't want us to do that again.

Unfortunately, the very next day, we were alone together, and we got a bit carried away again. But when he tried to "enter" me, I said: "I think we should stop now, let's stop — ok? Please, let's stop now. I don't feel right about this." But he didn't... he spread my legs anyway and got on top of me. And he penetrated me quite deeply. As he was doing it, I was saying, "Stop, please, I really think we should stop," but I didn't push him away. I didn't physically PUSH him or something to make him stop.

I was quite shook up afterwards but I didn't know if I should be angry with him or not. We are still together and I don't even think he thinks he did anything wrong... DID he do anything wrong? Or is what he did alright because my body wasn't saying "no"? I didn't fight him physically. Do you think I was raped? I'm so confused and I've lost all my self-respect!

Please, I am lost.

Orange County Hair Salons

I'm desperate (a permanent state, I suppose, not only for me, but also for most of my fellow human beings). I've forgotten the reason why I'm on this Planet. My life seems so senseless, eating, sleeping, going to work, hobbies, of course, while all around me, the world is tumbling down. How do I put some meaning in my life?

Orange County Hair Salons

Try this one out. Hope you can help.

I'm a freshman with a problem. I have a roommate who masturbates every night and it makes me sick. She waits until she thinks I'm asleep and then really goes at it. One night she even woke me up after I was asleep. I find it disgusting to hear her moans of passion as she plays with herself. Should I tell her to stop or should I just find another roommate?

Orange County Hair : Lori Drew Gets What's Due

Lori Drew charged over MySpace suicide
A Los Angeles federal grand jury has indicted a woman for her alleged role in a MySpace online hoax played on a 13-year-old girl who later committed suicide.
Lori Drew of St Louis, Missouri was indicted on Thursday on one count of conspiracy and three counts of accessing protected computers without authorisation to obtain information to inflict emotional distress. Each of the four counts carries a maximum possible penalty of five years in prison. Drew allegedly helped create a fake MySpace account to contact neighbour Megan Meier who thought she was chatting with a 16-year-old boy named Josh Evans. At the time of the incident, the Drews and the Meiers lived four doors apart in Waterford Crystal Drive, in the town of Dardenne Prairie. The Drew's teenage daughter and Megan were friends. The online relationship between "Josh" and Megan bloomed for several weeks before the tone suddenly changed. On October 15, 2006, Josh sent Megan a message saying, 'I don't want to be friends with you anymore because you're not nice to your friends'. That post triggered a flood of hate posts from other users. "All of Josh's friends and all of Megan's friends were calling Megan a whore, a fat ass. Calling her all kinds of god awful names," Megan's mother,Tina, told the ABC network in an interview last year. Meier hanged herself on the evening of October 16, 2006 after receiving cruel messages, including the last message sent from Josh which read: "the world would be a better place without you, and have a s**t rest of your life." After that, Josh's profile vanished from MySpace. It wasn't until several weeks after Megan's death that the Meiers discovered Drew's involvement in the fake MySpace profile. Drew, who was 48 at the time of the incident, has denied creating the account and sending messages to Megan. She claimed through her lawyers that she did not instigate the Josh Evans profile, nor did she use the fake profile to communicate with Megan. While she knew about the ruse, the lawyer said, she was apparently unaware that the Josh profile had been used to attack her neighbour's daughter. She claims the profile was the work of her teenage daughter and a teenage employee called Ashley Grills. Last month, Grills, now 19, went on national TV saying that while she was responsible for setting up the fake Josh profile, Lori Drew and her daughter were also involved in the cruel hoax. Grills also said she wrote the message to Megan about the world being a better place without her. The message was supposed to end the online relationship with "Josh" because Grills felt the joke had gone too far. "I was trying to get her angry so she would leave him alone and I could get rid of the whole MySpace," Grills said. Authorities in Missouri investigated Megan's death but failed to charge Drew after they were unable to find a law that she had broken. The charges being laid by federal prosecutors allege that Drew defrauded MySpace by helping set up a bogus profile, US Attorney Thomas P. O'Brien said this was the first time the federal statute on accessing protected computers has been used in a social-networking case. It has been used in the past to address hacking. "This was a tragedy that did not have to happen," O'Brien said. Both the girl and MySpace are named as victims in the case, he said. Drew will be arraigned in St. Louis and then moved to Los Angeles for trial. The indictment says MySpace members agree to abide by terms of service that include, among other things, not promoting information they know to be false or misleading; soliciting personal information from anyone under age 18 and not using information gathered from the Web site to "harass, abuse or harm other people." Drew and others who were not named conspired to violate the service terms from about September 2006 to mid-October that year, according to the indictment. It alleges they registered as a MySpace member under a phony name and used the account to obtain information on the girl. Drew and her coconspirators "used the information obtained over the MySpace computer system to torment, harass, humiliate, and embarrass the juvenile MySpace member," the indictment charged. After the girl killed herself, Drew and the others deleted the information for the account, the indictment said.

Laguna Niguel Hair Stylist Agrees! Still Digg'n Bobs

Mission Viejo Hair Stylist Agrees! Still Digg'n Bobs

2008 is and would be such a big year for hair trends that it's not too hard to see why so many hair trends in 2008 might feel familiar. While 2007 introduced us to the pob, it'll be its cousin the bob that we'll be wearing in 2009. And it's much the same story with the fringe trend: it was already with us at the start of 2007, had lost popularity by mid-year, but was brought back for 2008 by hypermodel Kate Moss in a completely new way. This year hair trends will range from boy-short crops to natural long tresses, with bobs in-between. We'll also be wearing various shapes of feminine, masculine, and elegant to name but a few, all taking their cues from the same eras as their parent clothing trends. So read on to find out the hair trends you'll be wearing in 2008. The Bob It was only ever going to give way to a more traditional style: 2007's pob hair style and trend has given way to the bob in 2008, and it's perfect for the year. Amazingly versatile, there are so many ways to wear the pob this year that you're going to be perfectly on trend but still 100% unique. If you're more traditional wear it as a natural accompaniment to the revival of the 60's and 70's.. Or go the other end of the spectrum with something far more modern: a longer, blunt cut You can make it your own in plenty of other ways: fringed or fringeless, blonde or brunette, short at the back, or blunt cut all over.

80's hair styles: big hair
Hair styles of the 80s are the most diverse and humorous characteristics of this decade. In early 80s, the New Romantic fashion styles kicked off the decade with great hair experimentation. For a while there seemed to be a competition to see who could build the tallest hair, have the strangest angles, or a favourite of this site - how much plastic, metal and mousse you could fit into your hair and still keep your head upright. In this first part of on ongoing series, eighty-eightynine will look at big hair.

Big hair is not unique to the 80s - the 60s had the beehive and the 70s had the afro. What set the 80s hair styles apart was their diversity. The start of the decade saw the extravagance of strange hair colours and cuts. By 1984 the trends had settled and focused on one simple concept - volume. More hair was better. Bananarama had some of best examples of 80s hair - pretty much reflecting the fashions of the decade (but maybe not the best fashions) from cuts styles to volume and flicks. The 'Hair Bands' of the 1980s applied this style which was strongest around 1987-88. Your hair could go up, out and down. It could look like you put your head in a candy floss machine - as long as it wasn't straight - this was the ultimate sin in the early 80s (often met with the criticism 'she needs to do something with that hair').

By 87-88, the 70s started to return and it was suddenly OK to have a retro look. You could even have short hair provided it was bleached, dyed a bright color or spiked with hair gel).

Many accessories were available to assist with this process - you could tease your hair and stick it up with mousse. Some mousse even contained glitter or other sparkle pieces to give your hair 'extra interest and individuality'. If you think shampoo stings, try getting glitter mousse in your eyes - a common occurrence as some brands tended to flake.

Like any cultural period, bands of the 80s reflected styles of the decade. Below you will find images of Dave Stewart, Sisters of Mercy, Bananarama and more. If you want more 80s fashion, see the Leg Warmers section of this site.
Do we remember products like Spritz Forte and Fizz or Fizz Extra. They were definitely the it products for hold and volume. Aveda was the up and coming.
